Tom Sawyer Adventure-  $40 per day vacation including lodging and the Mississippi River experience. A unique experience for families, reunions, school groups,church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, business groups and that adventurous personality.

 Background
For a period of time, I made my living on the Mississippi River commercial fishing, trapping and diving for mussels. It was a very important time in my life. My goal with our Tom Sawyer Adventure is to provide a Mississippi River experience like no other. . . .


The Tom Sawyer Adventure begins with

the Maiden Voyage. A 49 passenger tour boat, certified US Coast Guard Passenger Vessel.  
Be prepared to venture the Mississippi River for a full day.

Tom Sawyer Adventure #1

1 - 8 hour day on the Mississippi River
1 - Night stay in Andy Mountain Campground Log Cabin               Price: $40 per person

Tom Sawyer enthusiasts will stay in newly constructed log cabins, fully furnished.  Includes bedding, towels, furnished kitchen, 3/4 bath, 3 double beds, 1 single bed, Outdoor fire ring with swing over cooking grate.  Fire wood available.        AndyMountainCabins.com

Tom Sawyer Adventure #2

2 - 8 hour days on the Mississippi River
2 - Nights stay in Andy Mountain Campground Log Cabin               Price: $70 per person

Camping in Yellow River State Forest                                                $15 per night, per group

Tom Sawyer Checklist and Info.
  • All groups require 1 adult (Age 21 or older) per 6 children.
  • Any serious medical conditions need to be disclosed.


  • All groups are required to provide meals.  Lunch will be on the Maiden Voyage. Sack lunches work well; if you prefer, arrangements can be made to cook over an open fire.

  • Life Jackets (#1 provided, however they are big and bulky, so you may want to bring your own)

  • Fishing Poles (I have a few)

  • Fishing Tackle (I have a limited supply)

  • Live Bait will be provided

  • Warm Clothes

  • Cool Clothes

  • Swim Gear

  • Rain Gear

  • Personal Toiletries (Tooth brush, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc.)

  • Extra shoes or water shoes

  • Hat

  • Sunscreen

  • Flash light

  • Bug Repellent
