My name is Captain Robert Vavra owner and operator of Maiden Voyage Tours. The Maiden Voyage is a 51 foot, 49 passenger tour boat which is inspected annually, fully licensed and insured.

I spent my childhood on the back waters of the Mississippi River. After high school I worked in commercial fishing and clamming. Maiden Voyage Tours was born on the idea to explore the rich heritage and share the hidden beauty of the Mississippi River.

Our tours provide the opportunity for youth and adult groups to experience an enjoyable and educational adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime. The duration of these tours can altered to work with your schedule. Maiden Voyage Tours is able to provide services in many locations.

Our home port is Harpers Ferry IA, but we also board in Marquette IA, McGregor IA, and Prairie Du Chien WI. Maiden Voyage is starting its third year. In prior years we were proud to offer services to Boy Scout Troops, various elementary and middle school class rooms, the Kids Club from Allamakee county school district, and many of the nursing homes in the area.

We also provided private charters from office parties, family reunions, to fishing trips. I would like to have the opportunity to work with youth groups of all kinds. If you have any questions please contact me.  563-586-2123
